On november 2002 Juan Carlos Aguilar de la Serna Sensei, 1st Dan in Iaido and 1st Kyu in Jodo starts giving Iaido and Jodo lessons in Malaga. The Dojo is created because the persistence and interest of few pupils. His students are generally masters in another martial arts. Rafael Pinos, one of his students, in that year creates the Iaido and Jodo Club from Malaga.

This club reborns in 2013 with the Shinobu Dojo’s opening, by the instructor Karel Orozco. With Aguilar master’s charge, it starts this new project with all our excitement and in order to make Iaido and Jodo in Malaga to grow. Shinobu means patience and perseverance, because there’s no other way to reinforce ourselfes through Iaido and Jodo. We are a martial school which bases its practice in a traditional school’ principles, without putting off the current reality.

The use of a sword brings itself respect, seriousness and a special commitment for the student, because the Japanese sword isn’t an instrument to kill or a toy, but we must give it respect and dedication.
